holy crow! I won the cartoon contest and will now be providing the greenville news with two cartoons a week! Thanks so much to everyone who voted for me and won me this new job!
Here's a very awkward video they filmed of me to introduce me and a cartoon I drew of myself. xoxo
I had the honor to be in the top 2 running to be the new Greenville News Editorial Cartoonist. People had to vote for their favorite cartoons for about two weeks so I decided to post a different campaign ad every day to try to help my chances. Here are all the different ones I came up with during that time. Thanks to everyone who voted. Now it's time to sit and wait to see the results!
I know i'm over a month late posting these comics. The reason is because I hated doing hourly comic day this year and am not very happy with how it turned out. Mostly because I got very sick and didn't even want to look at these very bad drawings but hey... that's just how some days go huh?
I doubt i'll do hourly comics day again because as I continued drawing my every waking hour in a nyquil stupor... I thought to myself "isn't a daily comic enough?" Seeing i've drawn every day of my life for the past 4 years, I had to say "yes scott, that is enough."
So here it is... hourly comic day 2018. the rough and tumble sick edition.
hey! looks like i'm in the running to be greenville new's new editorial cartoonist. these are my cartoons I drew for them on 3 topics. vote for me on their website! you can vote everyday up to march 18th.
This is the first Whaleman story I ever wrote and drew. I originally drew it back in 2008 and decided to do this redrawing for my "first" issue of Monstieur Comics (2015?) which I only have a few copies of left. Get it in my shop while you cans.
I've been working on a new story with the Pun-ks for my newest issue of Monstieur so here's a little background of them. enjoy xoxo
here's a 2 page comic I originally published in my zine Monstieur #10. You can still buy that in my shop!
I drew this comic inspired by a recent article in the greenville news. here's the article.
I found some old paintings from 2011 that I did for a little novella zine called "Dynamite Alley" that me and old pal Devin wrote together. I still plan on re-working that story into a comic one day. Here are the scanned and lightly photoshopped paintings.
